warranty direct are a rip off. i made a claim for my turbo that blew to bits and the expert they sent to the garage said wear and tear so they would not be paying.

the policy wording that wd use is wear and tear is covered.

they paid for the turbo and labour in the end after i contacted trading standards etc, but would not pay for the intercooler, cat, tow in fee, 2nd flush, 2nd oil and filter, even though these parts had been contaminated and were covered as worded in the wd policy book. full of false promises and lies when they phone you to take your money 'davey' the so called vw/audi specialist

Review about: Warranty Direct Warranty.

Monetary Loss: $1600.

Do not buy warranty direct. They are a total rip off.

I cannot believe I fell for their sweet talk and spent almost $3000 to buy their *** extended warranty. Now they don't want to fix my transmission. I have been totally cheated by them. Don't fall into their trap.

Save your money.

If something major goes wrong with your car, pay out of your pocket, you will still save money than you would have paid to *** warranty direct.

policy is secure care, look at page 7 of the summary wear and tear ..yes.. page 4 intercooler, turbo, wastegate and actuator.

dont forget you also state failure of a non insured part due to an insured part failing the turbo blew contaminating the intercooler and cat. if you had paid i would have renewed

hi m8, it runs out in april so they would tuck me up on that, i fell for the sales chat etc and got ripped off, but im making sure that i warn enough people on as many web sites as possible even sent a message to what car mag etc. everything they promise in writing on the warranty book they give you is totaly the opposite to what they told me on the letter they sent to refuse my claim. they have been reading my posts on the honest john website lol

Sorry to hear about your experience, Taz. Unfortunately, you're in a long line of angry customers from this once viable company.

About 2-3 years ago, they made a calculated decision to look for ways to weasel out of claims. It's sad, really.

You should cancel and get back what you can now. The longer you wait, the less you'll get.
